Go
Your Go binary, running, with no Dockerfile
Go already builds to a single binary. homeport builds it with the Go version in your go.mod and runs it, listening on $PORT.
What homeport reads
- go.mod
- The Go version to build with. The build is a static binary: CGO off, paths trimmed, symbols stripped.
- homeport.yaml (optional)
- A different build command or output, a release command, or extra processes.
What you get
- A static binary, so start-up is fast and wake-ups are quick
- Apps sleep when idle; you pay only for the hours they are awake
- Sandboxed: every app runs isolated from the others
- Your app stays a plain binary you can run anywhere else
Start from go-api
A small Go HTTP API that deploys as it is.
